UQ – Margaret Cribb Childcare Centre
Ryan Wilks have successfully completed St Lucia’s University of QLD’s newest Childcare centre. The installation comprises of specialist fibre optic lighting to set the ambient lighting within the toddler pod rooms and LED lighting throughout the other areas. The centre benefits from a monitored emergency lighting system to ensure all evacuation routes are appropriately lit and effectively maintained. Externally the landscape areas have uplighters to highlight the modern structure and the surrounding pathways have LED Pole lights. A Category 6 Structured cabling installation has been installed to support the IT network. Door access and security to UQ’s site specific requirements ensures the safety of the staff and children using the facility. The site also required a new Main Switchboard and 3 Distribution Boards situated throughout the building Ryan Wilks installed new consumers main cabling from the local Transformer and submians to each of the Distribution Boards.
To assist in energy efficiency of the building we have installed 88 Solar Panels to achieve an output of 23.76kW.
