Mt Gravatt – Building Divestment Works
Ryan Wilks were engaged by a telecommunications provider to undertake building alterations and upgrade works to meet BCA and functional requirements necessary due to the divestment of an adjacent property to their facility. These works included the relocation of two existing air conditioning condensers, removal of redundant overhead gantry beam and crane, in-fill of existing materials handling double doors, installation of new concrete hardstand and creation of a new opening including installation of new loading doors. The installation of new 3m loading doors and safety gates allowed for the continued accessibility and operational efficiency of the telecommunications facility and ensured the continued safe and efficient handling of equipment and materials to the upper level of the site.
Due to the age of the existing AC condensers, it was determined during the project that existing condenser units had reached their end of life and serviceability and a full replacement of both the condenser and indoor units was required. This replacement ensured the ongoing reliability and operational efficiency of the equipment room air conditioning. The project required strict adherence to the carrier’s stringent access requirements with all contractors and personnel involved being required to comply with the facilities and managing contractors access compliance protocols.
All works were completed within the required project time frames and to the satisfaction of the client with no impact on ongoing facility operations at the site.
